Thank you to Valeria Agostino who encouraged many of her pupils in St John’s Primary School, Friern Barnet to enter the Logo Competition, across all year groups.
I had the privilege of attending a whole-school assembly, where, along with a good number of parents who also attended, I witnessed the awarding of many certificates for achievements including maths, sciences, personal qualities – and, of course, commendations for logo entries. It was great to see the logos displayed on the walls and I loved meeting the artists behind the logos.
The pupils were delightful, and I was treated to a full tour of the school afterwards, led by some very articulate Year 6s – rightly proud of their school and their knowledge of languages. As well as having discrete languages sessions, they also use languages in other curriculum areas, supported by Maestra Valeria! Bravissima!
