A taster in … Dari!
June 16 @ 17:00 – 18:00
Dari is a variety of the Persian language spoken in Afghanistan and is one of the country’s two official languages. Widely used across different regions and communities, it serves as a common language — or lingua franca — for many Afghans.
You are warmly invited to join Binazir, who studies online in Afghanistan through Victory Afghanistan, together with Kamila Sidiqi, who lives in London and works to support girls’ education in Afghanistan and help young people of Afghan heritage in the UK maintain their home languages and cultural connections.
Together, they will introduce you to the beauty of the Dari language, offer insights into Afghan culture and traditions, and share reflections on the experiences of women and girls living in Afghanistan today
